Me and my family moved from Davis, CA, to Cazadero, CA. A lot of weird stuff happened there. I don't really remember much, but here is what my mother can remember:
On the first night there, my mom was alone, as me and my dad were at my grandmothers house. She spent the night there unpacking our stuff, and as she was unpacking, at around 9:00 pm, there was something that suddenly started banging on the front door, trying to get in. She says it was too short to be a human, but then it started to try and turn the door knob. She was, as you would expect, terrified. As she waited, shivering in fear, the entity moved towards the sliding glass door, then resumed its banging on the glass door. Now, in Cazadero, there aren't many street lights, and the closest one was on the other side of the road, and the town was inside a redwood forest, so it was pitch black outside, so she couldn't see what was trying to get in. She called the police, though the closest station was in Guernville, which was 15 minutes away. When they got there the thing had already left. The police believed that the creature was the former tenant, but that wouldn't make sense, seeing as Cazadero is a town you would not end up in unless you knew where you were specifically going with direct intention. The former tenant had moved out months before we had ultimately moved in. Why would they suddenly come back around the very night we moved in? Also, we had a rap-around deck that completely encompassed our entire home, any footsteps could be heard. She heard none.
As the months passed, things seemed pretty normal, until one night. My parents were talking in the kitchen, my mom saw a glimpse of white moving slowly outside the window, floating really. It startled her, and she said "What was that?" my dad turned to look out the window, and must have saw something too. because out the door he went. He came back in with a puzzled look on his face, and he said it was a pizza box. Now, as I've told you, we were basically in the middle of nowhere, and Cazadero doesn't have any pizza parlors. The pizza box didn't even belong to our trash. Whatever had been holding it must have left, because the pizza box was on the ground when he went to investigate outside. Again, we heard nothing on the deck.
This next one, Its fuzzy, but I somewhat remember it. I'm not sure if it was a dream, or if it actually happened. We slept in the living room, the house layout was, to say the least, odd, there wasn't really a bedroom. So, we went to bed one night, and I'm not sure if I woke up in a dream or actually woke up. There was this, being, standing over me. It was grey, five or so feet tall, had three fingers, and a somewhat bulbous head. It just, stood over me, black eyes barely visible in the dark. Then I woke up the next day. Now, at this point, I didn't even know what a Grey was, didn't know what they looked like, and yet it was a spot on representation of one.
There was a lot more that happened, but as I said we don't really remember a lot of the stuff that happened.
So I talked to my dad and asked him what he remembered and if he experienced anything else in the house, he did indeed have something interesting:
His take on the pizza box incident, was that when he looked out that window when my mother saw the glimpse of the box pass by, HE saw the box closer than she did. It was a good ten feet off the ground, with no visible being holding it. The pizza box just sort of floated by the window, ten feet off the ground.
We also weren't the only ones who experienced oddities in our home. It seemed everyone on that street, even the landlord, had paranormal activity occur in their homes.
The following year, we moved. The town we moved to, and the current one we have been living in, was called Windsor. I have plenty of experiences in this town, and this time, I remember them all.
A few months back, me and my dad finally tried to check out Cazadero, keyword being tried. We were fishing for abalone nearby, so I convinced my dad to drive us up there after we had caught a few.
Now, I had forgotten about the odd whether that occurred around Cazadero, for instance in Monte Rio (Which is close by) if it were clear and sunny, it would be rainy and foggy in Cazadero, and that was the case on that day. The fog was the thickest I have ever seen in my life, at one point you could only see the first few feet in front of the car clearly before being engulfed by the fog. The fog gave off a very ominous vibe about the place, and because it was so dense, we couldn't find Cazadero. I'm hoping that I'll be able to convince my dad to bring me back up there to try and find it again, and hopefully soon.
